We're almost back!

Yippee, huh?! :)

Seriously though, i'm looking forward to seeing you all again and getting back down to business.

I hope that you guys have enjoyed your breaks and that you had safe traveling and a lot of fun with family/friends.

As for the Robinson household, STILL no baby news...the wife is ummmmmm...a bit impatient with the ol' baby at this point...just wants it to pop out already, ya know? Anyway, we're also all recovered (kind of) from the Spartan bball debacle a while back...I know you all care. :)

Regarding the class, check out the "weekly schedule" and "important dates" links to the right in order to review the upcoming week. Also, remember that we've got a big "Novel Adaptation" due date on Monday! Remember to bring your assignment AND your book that day. Please let me know if you need anything in this last day or two, everyone.

Take care!

PS. I suppose if you do NOT see me on Monday, it's due to upcoming baby news...fingers crossed.

Dang it...

State! :(

The wife and I are currently in mourning after the bball loss...and still no baby!

In all seriousness, I hope you guys are enjoying your time off!

Take care, and let me know if there's anything you need from me.

SPRING BREAK!!

First, everyone, ENJOY the time off! I hope it's a safe, fun time with family and friends. Don't forget everything you're learned these past few weeks! :)

Check out the recently updated "weekly schedule" and "important dates" links to the right regarding the week we come back to school.

Remember that ALL NOVEL ADAPTATION MATERIALS ARE DUE THE MONDAY WE RETURN!

Let me know if you need anything, guys! I'll check in on this blog at least one other time.

Take care, all.

Pre-Spring Break UPDATE...

Just three more school days, everyone!

Check out the newly updated "important dates" and "weekly schedule" links to the right.

Feel free to make as much progress in your novels as you want, and be reminded that if you DO finish early with the novel AND the written notes, check in with me. Then, you can move on to other reading materials if so desired.

Have a good weekend, all!

(Snowy) Weekend Update...

Nice weather, huh, guys?! Man....

Anyway, please check out the recently updated "important dates" and "weekly schedule" links to the right in order to prepare for next week's classes.

A few reminders:

1.) We have a "Film Term Notes QUIZ" on Monday over all of our recent notes taken in class. NOT included on the quiz are "literary terms".

2.) Your "Movie Review #2" assignment is DUE ON MONDAY.

3.) Be thinking about (and perhaps gathering) a worthy 250 pg. and above NOVEL for our upcoming "Novel Adaptation Assignment #1". Remember, the novel MUST have been adapted into a film version in order for the book to be appropriate. AND it needs to be a book that you have NOT read before. The assignment will be officially introduced on Tuesday of next week, and you NEED to have a selection by Wednesday.

Note: There is a chance that I will not be in class again on Monday due to a doctor appointment, but the schedule for that day would not change either way.

Have a good rest of the weekend! Spring Break is just around the corner....

PS: Go State!

Check out...

Also, a few reminders for everyone over the weekend:

1.) Movie Review #1 (minus the "shots" section) is DUE MONDAY.

2.) You can access that document as well as the upcoming Movie Review #2 by clicking on the "course documents" link just the right.

Enjoy your weekend, everyone!

"Favorites" Reminder

Hi, everyone. Don't forget to prepare for your "Favorites" presentation for tomorrow. You'll need at least one visual, and you'll need to display the 3 public speaking "priorities": movement (at least 4 feet), loud/clear voice, and eye contact. Also, don't forget to figure out your "text" author and "film" director!

I'm looking forward to hearing from everyone! I'm sure you're all DYING to hear about MY favs too, huh? :)

Take care, everyone.
