First, GOODBYE AND GOOD LUCK, SENIORS! We'll miss you...but we're not going anywhere, so come back and visit!

If not, we'll be heading to the library to make some choices on Monday. This book does NOT have to be a book that has already been adapted into a film. You are free to choose whatever you'd like as long as it fits the requirements on the direction sheet.

Long Weekend Update

First, I hope everyone enjoys his/her long weekend coming up here! It's crazy to think that when we come back from the weekend, it's already May! Time flies...

Second, sorry for the lack of notice of my absence from school today (Thursday). It wasn't really a "planned" event, so I would have told you all earlier if I would have known.

Check out the newly updated "weekly schedule" and "important dates" links to the right when you get a chance. You'll see that we'll be picking up where with left of with Film Genres (and "Bang...") on Monday and finishing the notes on Tuesday. We'll have a quiz over EVERY genre on Thursday. Also, we've got a big Director Research Project coming up that I think you'll enjoy. Be thinking about a possible film director to be the subject of your research! I'll provide you with some choices as well.

Spring Break Update

Hi, everyone! First, I hope you guys are already enjoying your break. Have fun, be safe...and don't forget to rest up as well!

Reminder: You should have all of your completed Novel Adaptation assignment items (including the novel itself) for class on Monday, April 11 (unless otherwise noted with a few individuals).

Other than that, i'm excited to start a "film history" unit with you guys the week we return...change of pace a bit...and since i'm a history buff, it's right down my alley! Excited?! :)

Frosty Weekend Update

Man, it's cooold out there! Spring Break, anyone?! :)

Ok, all. Here goes with some reminders for this last weekend before our upcoming break.

**Your second Movie Review is officially due on Monday. Remember that if you choose any of the top 50 movies from the "top films" list, you'll receive 5 extra credit points.

**Next week, we'll have our first official quiz on Wednesday over all our film/literary terms that we've been working with this past number of days in class.

**Also for next week, be reminded that we'll officially be starting our "novel adaptation" assignment on Tuesday. Be prepared to bring/make a book (at least 200 pages long) selection on that day. Again, the book must have been made into a film version at some point...and a film that you'll be able to view!

I'll be updating the weekly schedule and important dates links sometime tomorrow since I don't have access to those files currently. Come back on here and check them out!
