Reminder for next week:

**Students who have yet to present their movie activity, be prepared for next week and beyond...and be sure to notify of your plans ahead of time!

Early Weekend Update

Hi, everyone. First, I hope you enjoy the long weekend!

As always, check out the newly updated "weekly schedule" and "important dates" links to the right in order to prepare for next week, a full week.

Reminders for the weekend:

**Be prepared to present one fact from each of the five main research categories regarding your film director information on MONDAY. Students who have yet to officially check in with me regarding extra credit clips, please do so asap. Check the original Director Project direction sheet if at all confused!

**The Essay for the above project is DUE WEDNESDAY (see directions). Feel free to get a head start on it over the weekend, but I won't officially collect your hand-written research notes and final draft items until Wednesday.

**Be reminded that we'll be starting our last major project in this class next week: Novel Adaptation Assignment #2. Perhaps choose a fitting novel (at least 225 pgs./fiction) over the weekend? Remember that your book does NOT have to have a film version accompanying it.

I hope you're already enjoying a little R(est) and R(elaxation) with family and friends thus far. The "break" is much needed, i'm sure.

Happy FOG Day!

Well, everyone, I have to say that this is a first in my teaching career: a fog day?!! Either way, i'm sure you're enjoying your time off! :)

Ok, here's what this means for us as we move forward:

**Our Literary Terms Quiz is now moved to Monday...be ready!

**Our Movie Review #1 assignment will now be due next Friday, since you don't have the handout/explanation yet!

**We'll finish our "film notes" next week...with a quiz over them on Friday.

**Be thinking about what novel (made into a viewable film version) you may like to read starting on Wednesday of this week! More later.

Have a good weekend St. Patty weekend, guys...don't forget to cheer on those Spartans! :) It's going to be a GREEN weekend all around...haha.

Reminder: Prepare yourselves for your "Favorites" speech to be given on Monday...movement of at least 5 feet during the speech, loud/clear voice, eye contact...2-3 minutes...visual...titles, author, director, plot, and 3 specific reasons why they are your favorites!
